Tax Self Assessment and marriage allowance
I am filling in my self assessment for 2024/25
I had the marriage allowance in place to transfer 1260 of my personal allowance to my husband for tax year 2024/25
I cancelled it for tax year 2025/26 onwards
On self assessment it says if you already have a transfer in place (as I did) you should select "NO" to the question "Do you want to transfer 10% of your personal allowance to your spouse" as the allowance will automatically be included in the calculation.
I selected "NO" but it was not included in the calculation ( I still have 12570 personal allowance)
I altered the response to "YES" but the calculation was the same ( still have 12570 personal allowance)
Am I missing something?

You might find this worth a read.
Marriage Allowance seems to work in mysterious ways when it comes to Self Assessment. I think the correct answer is No. And then waiit a few days for HMRC's system to join the dots.
