No totally free with payplan. As are Stepchange I believe. I used payplan purely because it was the Halifax that put me in touch with them. I remember it feeling a lifetime away too, but they were absolutely anazing and really helped me making sure the monthly amount I paid was sensible to still be able to live. It meant eventually after the first few months and me budgeting properly each .month (I have written down and budgeted every single penny in a notebook) I became better off each month and have been able to live ny life and do things I never could have afforded before my DMP.. I cannot fault payplan when I have needed advise they have been there for me. I wish I had done it years ago rather than just swapping from nterest free to interest free and trying to get out of it myself when in reality I was making the situation worse. You've totally got this. You've done the gard part

There is no secret to debt management, you simply pay your bills as you would normally, but at a rate you can afford rather than the minimum payment required by the creditor.
This will be different for everyone, as its decided by your budget and available disposable income.
Obviously you tell your lenders you`re in financial difficulty first, the debt charities are there for those who need the most intervention, many people, especially those with fluctuating incomes, will be better off self managing their debts.
