Plan 55

Howdy all!

We've recently moved to our forever home and we are determined to be mortgage free by my 55th birthday (September 2033).

We've got a fair bit to play with monthly and will be adopting overpayments and maybe savings accounts? We're using all of the cashback and survey sites going! :)

I am loving reading everyone's diaries and hoping that you join along with us. We're here to learn and listen and get rid of this mortgage once and for all!

The details:
Mortgage Plan Summary
Mortgage started: 2 March 2026
Original mortgage: £205k
18 year term Fixed at 3.96% for 3 years (to May 2029)

Current mortgage balance: £201,435
Goal: mortgage-free by Sept 2033 (my 55th)
Stretch goal: husband’s 55th in May 2032

Love you bye x
