Morning again. It's fine here at the moment but the forecast is for rain.

Yesterday was an ok day, I met up with my friend from Edinburgh and we talked the morning away, it was really nice to see her.

We are going away tomorrow morning, down to York, it's just for one night. We'll return late Tuesday afternoon. It's only an hour on the train, and it will be a nice change. The weather forecast is not wonderful, but it doesn't matter.

I'll be getting ready for that today, though we won't need much, we're only taking backpacks.

Hi all

Yesterday didn’t go to plan due to various issues and the weather so today might be going to get bedding plants.

For those that remember our ‘cook a meal from a different country’ , got a bit behind so April’s dish needed to be a Venezuelan. Finally last night made cachapas- basically a sweet corn pancake filled with mozzarella- very tasty.

Looks to be a nice day here no rain due but it’s slightly overcast, I have stripped the beds and got the bedding in the WM hopefully I can hang it out to dry.

I did some jet washing in the garden yesterday and bleached the area under where the bird table was and the bird table with a weak bleach solution, we have now moved the bird table so that it’s not next to the fence which will hopefully stop the rat from getting to it, if not we will have to think again.

Dinner tonight will be satay chicken, we would like to bbq instead but it’s still too chilly to sit out for long in the evenings.

Today I am going to paint the window reveal in the bathroom I will ask OH to take the blind down for me, the ceiling also needs doing but that’s a job for another day.

Dogs to be walked later and some housework to do.

Thanks for the start Scarlet, glad you enjoyed meeting up with your friend and hope you have a lovely trip to York.

It's pouring down here, that's scuppered my plans for going to the allotment this morning, I'll see what it's like later. I went to the other allotment yesterday and put some more plants in, they've probably been washed away!

Busy day yesterday, swim, shop, washing, took neighbour's son to work, Ikea, Garden Centre and home to relax for a while.

Well done on the painting Ruby, I'm thinking about it for the laundry but don't think I can do the ceiling as it's a bit high but I could do the walls - maybe!

I'm collecting DD and family from the airport tonight, a bit late for me but the car park charges for them were sky high. They're in London for SIL's graduation.

Morning all

Sun's out at the moment and wind has calmed down a bit.

DH got rid of some overgrown bushes at the top of the garden yesterday so I'm going up there when I've finished my coffee to get rid of the brambles I couldn't get to before.

Shopping delivery put away and DS's left out separately for him when he comes for dinner later.

Nothing else planned today except some footie on tv this afternoon.

it’s v cold here again ,I’ve put the heating on for an hour ,- last of the big spenders me !

Still trying to tidy etc slowly getting there.
main curtains have unhooked themselves in places and I’m not safe up a ladder at the moment ? What to do

Am going to have to get a cleaner ,hip and back getting worse ,see consultant on Wednesday suspect the waiting list will be much longer than the boasted 18 weeks !

Morning folks and thanks Scarlet.enjoý your mini.break in York. We used to go.regularly from the caravan but I never get there now.

Dare I say it but it feels warmer today, especially in the sun but unfortunately light rain is on the way said the weatherman. I don't remember such a miserable and chilly May such as this.

morning everyone it’s chilly here and we are getting rain all day or at least heavy showers meat is cooked veg is done and at long last I have put a colour on my hair it was disgraceful it took me 15 minutes and I always say the same why don’t I just get on and do it instead of putting it off all the time . Im going out to meet my friend soon just for a quick catch up she’s at work until 12 I will have an hour with her I was supposed to meet her last week but she had to call it off as a family member was taken to hospital hubby has a face like a smacked backside but I’m sick of telling him he might be happy sitting all day in front of the television but I’m not like it or lump it something he will have to get used to anyway enough of my moaning. Suffolk sue I hope there is a cancellation and you get seen sooner rather than later its very wearing been in pain all the time enjoy York scarlet Camelot I got someone in last year to decorate for me he did the whole house in a week painting gloss and some wallpaper it was definitely worth it it takes us a week to do a room now and I’m not as confident on steps as I used to be neither is the hubby with two new knees even he agreed we had done the right thing .thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing
