Morning folks and thanks Scarlet. A beautiful start here but very frosty. And no wind whatsoever!
NANCY I finally got the tuna open yesterday and, like you, I had to prize parts open. I was at risk of severing an artery but was not going to be beaten by a tin opener!
Another day of not doing much here. Its still like a ghost town on site but no doubt a few weekenders will appear at some point now the weather is improving a bit.
Have a good weekend folks and take care x

Morning again, it's a sunny start here.
Remmie, I hope you had your cataract operation yesterday, after your long wait.
Dp1 your dgd is priceless! And did you want to talk about democracy?
Allie, sorry to read that you're having problems with your Mum, in denial about her health, it makes the situation so much harder.
I'm meeting a friend this morning who is down from Edinburgh for the weekend, it'll.be nice to see her, haven't seen her since last year. While I'm out I'll nip to Tesco, it's just a short walk from the cafe where we're meeting.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Glad you got your tuna open TA!
It's quite bright this morning but no actual sunshine at the moment. The bedding is in the WM so will hang that out once it's finished.
I have a long list of things to get done this weekend so will crack on with that when I've had a shower. The allotment beckons to plant out a few more veggies and plant more peas.
Hoping everyone is well and you have a good weekend. Take care. XX

Nice and bright here for now but more rain due this afternoon and tomorrow, last night turned really cold again so we lit the log burner I don’t think we have ever had it on this late in the year.
The wm is on and I will try and hang the washing out for a while before the rain starts again, we also need to do some housework and OH has his dads shopping to do.
Dinner tonight for OH and I will be pork chops with a few chips and some mushrooms OH will cook, dd is working a late tonight.
I need to get the bathroom blind down ( I tried yesterday but it’s too stiff for me) I have noticed some paint flaking off at the top of it so I will sand it down and repaint it today.
Have good days all and take care xx

Another cool and damp day here - I think there’s some signs of warmth due to next week.
Long walk yesterday followed by donation blood so was, and am still, very tired. Just waiting for DM to decide if she wants to go shopping for bedding plants. A lot of my veggie plants look sad from the cold and hail 😔
hope everyone enjoys their weekend

morning everyone it’s definitely dry and a bit brighter I’ve got some washing out I went to put a coat on yesterday and I have no idea what was right down the sleeve anyway it’s come out and it’s now hanging on the line it will dry today with a few other odds and sods . I have been informed when my hubby gets in from golf some of my family are coming to watch the football here and they are quite happy to eat whatever I make I was told don’t go to any trouble just make picky bits or pizzas or whatever you want I didn’t want to make anything I’m away on holiday the 23rd and I’m afraid they are all in for a shock because I’m going to be out on a weekend when we get back I’m afraid one of our talks is due and he won’t like it . Right I must crack on I’ve just managed to get my first cuppa of the day . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

@TravellingAbuela - I feel that way too when prying the cans open. This time, my roommate opened the cans for us and his cat jumped up on the counter to stare him down until he gave the liquid from the can (tiny little seven month old cat, all black with gold eyes - but a force to be reckoned with when it comes to tuna liquid).

I guess I was lucky with my cat she never took any notice when I was opening tuna. But there again I didn't have to do battle when using my own tin opener at home and there wasn't any liquid flying everywhere!
