I work for a care firm..that was a community integrated company..but under tupe kept my council terms and conditions…which is 6 months full pay on the sick..25 years service...my last shift before breaking my ankle was 22nd of November 2025….so I've only had 5 months full pay..haven't i?..we only returned back under council control..inApril ..further complicating the situation

This question might be better on the "Employment" forum?

Six months from the 22nd of November is the 22nd of May, which is a week today.

this may be better in Employment board, not really related to being over 50 (hopefully!)

when did the sick pay stop? You don't say but assume 22nd April? If you are now back under council surely they will pay the remaining entitlement?

If you haven't accepted any new contract then the TUPE conditions allows for 6 months. What makes you think you won't get a May payment next week ? 🤔

I would presume your first step should be contacting HR for a proper answer before exploring further?

You've taken 5-6 months on the sick for a broken ankle?

Did you have any time of sick in the preceding few months? It could be six months in a rolling 12 month period (this is the case for NJC 'Green Book') and any sickness absence between May and November last year would be counted in that six months - either way you should have had a letter advising when the full pay would end be reduced to half pay.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
