Good morning Gers.
I'm half-listening to a play on the radio while having a coffee and looking at the lilac tree wondering if I should cut some and bring it indoors.
i hope you and everyone who's reading this has a good day,

Morning All
Thank you for the start Gers.
A better night with DD dog just waiting for DGC to stir themselves. They are coming back to ours tonight until Sunday when DD returns. Have just asked them to strip their beds and got the usual teenage morning groans. Will take bed linen home and wash it hopefully a dry day so should get it out on the line.
Hope everyond has a good day.

Good morning, thanks Gers. I had a laugh at your ringtone story, that tune in particular! if you're on the road today have a good journey.
Hi Bsrneysmom, lilac blossom is lovely inside or out.
Thank you all for the good wishes for my back, it does seem to be getting better, more in my hip now, but just a dull ache.
We didn't get to meet up with our friend for lunch - her son rang to say she'd fallen out of bed and hurt her back, and 111 had advised him to ring an ambulance. I haven't heard any more yet, I'll ring him today.
TA, hope you're having a nice few days away, whatever the weather. Our weather yesterday was like Chrisca's - sunshine, then black clouds and heavy showers.
Sorry to read that you're still having problems with your Mam Dp1. Hope she settles down soon.
I think I'll venture out this morning to our High Street, see what's going on there.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Good morning, thanks for the start Gers.
Sunny start, yesterday started well but then afternoon rain and hailstones. Well, today's the day, should be cataract surgery. I say should be as I'm reading on our local fb page there's a police incident near to the clinic and roads are closed. Fingers crossed we can get there so I can get this done, it seems to have dragged on for ages.
Food later is up in the air. If I have surgery then DH will be cooking, so it will be a ping meal.
Have a good day all, take care.

Nice bright day here but very chilly we too had hail stones yesterday funny weather!
I have just put a wash on and hopefully it can go outside to dry off a bit although it’s saying rain again this afternoon 🙄
Dinner tonight will be a roast chicken with mash and salad we made some coleslaw yesterday and there is loads left so we will have that as well, I think DD’s young man is coming for dinner and he has a good appetite so I will do extra mash.
I have to arrange holiday insurance today and book our taxi to the airport then we are all set, it’s not till August but at least I know it’s done then.
Remmie I hope your op goes ahead and it goes ok xx
Have good days all and take care xx

Thanks to those that have already posted, and are more regular contributors than me!
It’s been a week! After point blank denying to me that there were any new health issues, DM decided on Tuesday to tell DF that there was! We had this 3 years ago before her latest diagnosis when she stuck her head in the sand and left things far too long, Anyway, she had an oncology appt Wednesday anyway so the consultant is arranging an urgent scan to find out what’s going on. My anger and frustration at her denial makes it difficult, initially, to be sympathetic- and I know that sounds terrible but I don’t understand when she herself acknowledges that all the medical staff she sees are helpful, supportive and caring. Hopefully we’ll get things sorted next week with blood tests and nurse referrals. Anyway, apologies for my rant - I’m in survival mode at the moment, keeping busy and needing more sleep!
Today, however I’m meeting a friend for a walk and she has our glazed pottery creations which will be fun to unpack. Then I’m donating blood later - don’t feel like it but given DM has had 8 units this year already I feel that I need to at least give back one of mine 😬Take care all

Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I'm going down to the care home before work.
Allie you have my sympathies, if a doctor asked my mam today how she is she'd say 'I'm fine', it's very frustrating when you're trying to get them some help.
Remmie I hope everything goes well for you today.
I have little one and little foster baby staying tonight, I plan to take them to the library tomorrow. Who knows what the conversation will be when we have tea, last week it was 'Granny do you want to talk about democracy?'
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Hallelujah no rain is forecast for today! The sun is shining and the wind is easing though its still a bit nippy.
I have been trying in vain to open a tin of tuna for my lunchtime sarnie and am on the verge of hurling the tin opener through the window. Grr it's one DD bought, I think left over from The Krypton Factor! I'll try again in a bit.
If I was at home I'd be doing the Friday Tidy but I'm having yet another day of Sloth here. I'll give it a good clean round before I leave on Monday.
Hope all goes to plan REMMIE and hope all is as well as can be for everyone else x

@TravellingAbuela - I have to hold the tuna can up so that it doesn't drop at all as it goes around. Half the time, I have to finish it up by prying the rest of the lid open. I have switched to hand-operated can opener most of the time. I have to put a bowl or plate down to catch the "tuna juice" for the cats or they attack. Usually I have to squeeze as much out into a bowl for them and divide it into two bowls before I can do anything with the tuna for me or they will attack. Only two of our cats go after the tuna juice, the third cat isn't interested.
