Railway Repay delay claim. How much can I claim
Greeting!
So I bough an open return from Manchester to Norwich for 140.90
The first trip was Manchester to Norwich
And the return trip was Norwich to Manchester
The first trip was to comprise of 4 changes
1st trip was Manchester - Doncaster With train company TPE
2nd trip was Doncaster to Peterbrough with train company AWC
3rd trip was Peterbrough to Ely
,4th trip was Ely-Norwhich
The 1st trip Manchester to Doncaster was with train company TPE and was late and caused me to miss the train from Doncaster to Peterbrough trip. The next train after that was delayed and cancelled. So when I completed the 2nd trip and arrived at the Peterbrough, it was to late to catch any more trains for the night so the station staff book me a taxi to my final destination at Norwich tail station and billed train company TPE for it since it was them that caused the delay. I arrived at my final destination in the taxi well over 2 hours late
The return journey comprised of 3 changes
1st trip Norwhich to Peterbrough with train company EMR
2nd Trip Peterbrough to Nuneton with train company CC
3rd trip Nuneton to Manchester
The 1st trip Norwich to Peterbrough with train company EMR the toilets where not working but it arrived on time, the second 2nd trip Peterbrough to Nuneton with train company CC was delayed and as of such I missed my 3rd trip Nuneton to Manchetser and no more trains for the night. Again the platform staff booked me a taxi to my final destination and I was just over 2 hours late. There where no buses running at that time and I had to get a taxi home
Questions:
For the first journey. How much can I claim from Train company TPE?
For the return journey. How much can I claim against train company CC? Can I claim my taxi fair home from them as well? Can I claim against train company 5 for no toilets working?
Thanks

In my experience, when you complete the delay/repay form they'll ask for how long the delays were to calculate how much you'll get back.
Others may be able to advise about your taxi fare as I've never needed to do that.
AFAIK toilets aren't included in delays.

For the outward journey, claim from TPE, as their delay caused the missed connection and you arrived in Norwich over 2 hours late. On a £140.90 return ticket, that should normally be £140.90 under Delay Repay for a 120+ minute delay.
For the return journey, claim from CrossCountry, as their delay caused the missed connection at Nuneaton and you arrived over 2 hours late. Again, that would normally be £140.90, although they may question it if you have already had the full ticket value paid by TPE.
The taxi from the station to your home is less certain. Delay Repay usually covers the rail journey to the destination on your ticket, not onward travel home, but you can still ask CrossCountry as a goodwill claim.
For the EMR train with no working toilets, that is a complaint rather than Delay Repay, as the train was on time. You might get a goodwill gesture, but I would not expect much.

You claim for the whole trip from your home to your destination, and as a separate claim from the destination back to your home. Initially you don't specify where the delays were, you just state the start time of your journey, it will suggest an itinary and you select the appropriate one. The system will automatically check that against actual times and offer you the appropriate delay repay payment. Since you were two hours late on each leg you will get the whole fare back. Taxis are something else though and not part of the delay repay system and you will have to claim that back direct from the train company which booked it for you separately.

Did you pay for the taxi yourself? Often when taxis are arranged by the rail company they are invoiced and paid directly, so the passenger doesn't get involved in payment.
