Brecon Debt Recovery emails
For the last 2 days I’ve received emails from Brecon Debt Revovery which appear to be Next’s debt collection department.
I know to ignore emails, and anything 8mportant will come by post, I guess my question is regarding write off request. My next account is in a previous surname and they’ve said via CAB that I need to inform them of my current surname, I’ve tried to do this online and via email and have only had automated replies. I am loathe to phone them because I don’t want to get into conversation with them about the debt. So I’m not sure how to proceed.
Also, I’ve had the Next account since 1997 and from searching these boards for accounts opened prior to 2007 it is unlikely that they will be able to produce a CCA.
Should I pursue things through the CCA request route, or continue to attempt to converse with them about the name change only in the hope that write off is successful?
Thanks!
Find a little bit of joy in every day.

Anything to do with debt and matters concerning it, should only be done in writing, a letter is deemed to have come from the customer/client concerned, and is a requirement for anything of a legal nature.
Send your proof in a letter, and send a CCA request also, see how that pans out first as it may transpire they won`t be able to comply.
