Pension Scammers Target People Who Want To Avoid IHT

Putting this here just in case although I suspect none of the regulars here would fall for it.

As with all IHT, the only ways to avoid it are impoverish yourself, risk running out of money, convert cash to income, or trust your offspring.

The article was a bit disappointing, very little detail.

    ways to avoid IHT

    buy an annuity

    gift money

    gift from excess income

put it in trust…just swaps one lot of taxes for another and comes with complexity and expenses

move to another country and live there for long enough.

And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

You forgot not dying - at 309 I'm comfortably off now and my annuity is still ticking-over nicely.

Sadly, many of those who will fall for this scam probably wouldn't even have been liable for IHT.
