Weekly Magazines: Winners' Lists
Bauer Magazines are pretty good. A few weeks after each competition closes they publish the answers as well as the names of the winners on the magazine's website.
Chat Magazine, which is run by a different organisation, is different. It seems they only publish the answers but NOT the winners' names. That is not good for perhaps two reasons:
It shows a lack of transparency in how the competitions are run.
But also some winners may never have known that they had won a competition bearing in mind how the winners' notifications are sent out. The cheques are sent out in a fairly bland computerised letter which some recipients may even discard as junk mail.
Not only that: If the envelope goes astray in the post or is even stolen then the winner would be none the wiser.
If there is a way of finding out who the Chat Magazine winners are then I haven't found it?

Winners name and area is published in the magazine. Just had a look at the magazine through readly as I am on a free trial with it.

OK - Thank you for that.
Its good that they're posting the winners' names somewhere - though not on the websites that probabably most of us on here use to enter the competitions.
I suppose I can't really complain about that then. LOL.

It could be because all the puzzles are from the magazine and I would guess that they expect people have bought it and not entered from a competition site. I hadn't realised that they post the answers as I just enter then move on. Same with bauer magazines I've never checked for winners but may have a look now you have mentioned it thanks. MDs winners are always posted but those comps are readily available on their websites without a need to purchase the magazines.
