Morning GERS and all to follow. A beautiful start to the day and that pesky wind that re-appeared again yesterday looks to have finally dropped.
Friday Tidy this morning. A dust and vac up and down. The kitchen and bathroom got done yesterday. Thanks to the reappearance of the wind the back garden never got a tidy yesterday after all. Hopefully this afternoon but it will be a half hearted job with two aching arms! The left still tender after my tumble and the right thanks to the Covid jab yesterday. I was woken up in the night every time I moved. Grr. Then there will be the new month banking to do in among. But that may get left until tomorrow if I get engrossed in the snooker again.
Have a nice day if you can folks with ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care one and all and be safe x

Morning Gers, morning all
Beautiful day out there today.
Ordered a tv that was coming between 5-7 tonight. Just had a call they are coming in around 30 minutes time now! I'll go food shopping on my own and let DH stay here for the delivery now.
Another snooker fan here @TravellingAbuela
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning, thanks Gers.
Its fine and sunny here as well. 1st of May already, the days are zooming by.
I had a big sort out of clothes yesterday, summer stuff came out and I put some winter things away. I say 'some' because even in summer there's sometimes a need for a jumper.
Nothing much planned for today except taking a bag to the cs (results of the sort out yesterday), and I said I would visit one of my housebound friends.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

I’m enjoying waking up to sunshine everyday. Just got a pair of curtains in the wash - I think that’s the last thing of my Spring clean - lost track of how many loads of washing this week - duvets, throws, mats etc etc etc.
Will go a walk by the river before popping to the fabric shop and some grocery shopping and doing some tidying.
Hope everyone enjoys the day
Take care

Morning again - in contrast to the first part of the week today is rather dull with the promise of showers, think it's been raining overnight. Still warm though.
The invigilation went fine yesterday morning. The student had been allocated nearly half an hour extra time and yet finished well before the ordinary time. Had a scribe / reader who was mostly unused. No shopping although the postie brought a pile of my earlier online orders. She couldn't get through on Wednesday as everywhere was blocked by the workmen. The Canadian dollars also arrived so they're tucked away with the power adaptor.
This morning the grass cutting chap is coming, shame that the grass is wet again. He's very efficient and most pleasant, making a good name for himself and has stopped advertising. The job won't take long. No idea what I'll do after he's gone!
Take care everyone, hugs to poorlies and shouting 'hello' to our missing.

Good morning
Bright and sunny, but showers forecast later. Of course showers are forecast as, wait for it, DH got the fence paint yesterday. Out of the blue he decided to go, although we almost didn't as when going through the village to get to the dual carriageway the traffic was very heavy coming the other way, most unusual. OH went over the bridge to see it was the opposite direction that was tailed back.Took a chance and carried on going and the road had cleared by the time we came back. I had a look in B and Emm and the Rang, but nothing purchased.
Dinner tonight will probably be salmon, new potatoes and asparagus, my favourite.
Nothing else to report, so will wish everyone a good day, take care.

Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Beautiful moon last night. The wind seems to have dropped so hopefully I can get out into the garden. So much for me to do.
Hope you all have a good day
Take care

Morning all
Lovely bright day here and the wind seems to have finally gone, I have a load in the wm and another to go in after I shall hang them both out today, tomorrow afternoon and Sunday are supposed to be raining 🙄
I had a call yesterday re a new job I am going to see them Thursday they seemed like a nice family over the phone, I was talking to his mum as well and she said she had twin boys who are now 29 both with cerebral palsy, she was saying that her and her husband have not had a holiday for 15 years and never alone since the lads were born but they have booked a week away in June she was so excited, I’m not sure if they have enough hours for me but it’s worth a visit.
Dinner tonight will be fish finger sandwich with a few chips, my tummy seems to be back to normal now, always the way after you get the GP involved, I managed to do my sample yesterday so just waiting for the results.
The boiler man came yesterday to find that the boiler has been leaking in the boot cupboard he said it’s beyond fixing ( it’s been on it’s last legs since we moved in so it’s not done too bad) so we are now getting quotes for a new one, we want to get it done during the summer before the cold weather starts, there is always something!
I have a click and collect at Mr T at lunch time and I will nip into B&M to pick up some new hanging baskets while I am out.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning Everyone
Quick visit from me as I'm at work, the children are in assembly so I have 5 minutes!
After a week of glorious weather it's raining this morning, glad I didn't put any washing out. It was sunny and windy yesterday so I did one of the winter coats ready to put away.
Boo for the boiler Ruby. Hope you get on with the new family.
Not another sore arm TA? You're certainly in the wars at the moment.
I saw the beautiful moon last night too SO, it was just coming up over the hills so I watched until I could see it all.
Long weekend ahead as it's bank holiday, I'm looking forward to having a lazy time!
Take care. XX

Morning all, thanks for the start off @Gers.
Today the weather promises to be even better than yesterday - sunny, calm with a gentle breeze and temperatures finally getting into the low 20s. 😃 I'm not getting giddy though as light local showers could be on the cards later this afternoon and, unsurprisingly, over the Bank Holiday weekend too with temperatures dropping again next week. 😥 Full moon tonight (flower moon) and another (blue moon) on May 31st.
I spent quite some time sitting outside yesterday with very little being achieved and today looks as if I'll be doing much the same. There's the usual Friday admin to do and some washing to hang out but anything else can wait - have to make hay while the sun shines. (Excuse the pun! 😁 )
After spending Wednesday night in a lovely B&B just outside Ayr, DS returned home mid-afternoon yesterday with a Mercedes that was collected by a colleague for onward delivery to its final destination - can't remember where. Then another colleague rocked up with a big Luton van for DS to deliver to Aberdeen. If that's local I'll eat my hat! Anyway, after a meal, shower etc, he set off with the van for an overnight stay just outside Edinburgh to drop off in Aberdeen this morning. Then its another collection from the same site, onto Glasgow for another swap over, onto Todmorden and then back home on the train. He's certainly clocked up some miles this week!
@remmie - Woohoo! Paint! But when will the fence actually see it? 😁
@Ruby - Glad to hear your tummy has settled down but not that your boiler needs replacing. Still, better now than waiting for winter, I suppose.
Even if you're not going anywhere, I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend. Take care all. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8
