Are you looking for a particular type eg cast iron, non-stick?

I have one I bought in IKEA years ago, they no longer seem to stock it, and it has been great. Cost less than £30.

Can you rule any out? Like no Teflon, must be stainless, preferred sizes etc.

If you don't want to spend much then Asda / Tesco have loads but I suspect you are looking for more than that, can you be more specific what it is you want?

my set of 3 cast iron pans cost about £30. Really pleased with them, but as @Farway says, what exactly are you looking for?

It partially depends on your hob. Light alloy will not work on induction.

A personal preference is for a big pan or a set, depending on your pocket and space. Next, as I have induction, I have heavy pans so the iron content is high. Iron pans settle down with use and become almost perfectly nonstick.

We've got 2 large fry pans from Sainsburys, both with glass lids. One is about 14 inches across and 2 deep and the other 16 x 3. We also have a square griddle pan - no idea where that one was from. But it's nice to have something that can cook fatty meats but let the fat drain away.

2 omelet pans (why 2? so him indoors can make us both an omelet at the same time), 1 similar pan for fried eggs, and a 7 inch wok style pan - all of which were from TKMaxx. There's also a tiddly egg pan from Lidl suitable for doing a nice round fried egg to pop in a breakfast bun. And then there's a 10 inch cheapy pan (Lidl?) which I use for frying a bit of salmon on a Sunday morning.

We had le crueset pans in the past but they're too heavy for me to swing about easily. So that's 9 pans in total for use in a 2 adult household. Too many really but it's not as bad as our cutlery selection.

I'm thinking Stainless Steel so I could use it in the oven. I have a gas hob.

If you cook eggs then you need a pan specifically for them! If you've cooked bacon in a frying pan then eggs will stick when you try to fry them, scramble them or make an omelette!

Not interested in eggs, more interested in bacon and making a pizza and put into the pan and into the oven.
