ACI Debt collection agency
Hi, just looking for some advice. Anyone hd any dealings with ACI debt management company. I'm dealing with a self managed Dmp and had dealings with a few companies but this company are so difficult to deal with, I set up a standing order over the phone as they were too frustrating by email. Agreed to set up 1st of the month a d they split the payment to my creditors e get to the 27th of the month and they have emailed to say the payment plan has failed, it's not due to come out untul the 1st. Anyone else had any issues with them? Thanks.

I'm confused (which is normal!) You say you're in a self managed DMP but then say that ACI are paying your creditors. You also say ACI are a debt collection agency but also a debt management company.
If you are self managing why not just make all the payments yourself and cut them out of the picture altogether?

ACI are an annoying, useless debt collector/purchaser, ignore what they say to you, they are run by children.
Just pay when you can and confirm in an email what you are paying and when, and let them rattle on about it as much as they like.
Once a debt defaults there are no longer any rules about regular payments or payments to be made by a certain date, you decide when, and how much, not them.

Thanks for the advise Sourcrates, can they not take me to court if I'm not Co operating? Brie, sorry didnr make that clear, they bought the debt so I'm am now paying them and they are splitting the payment between the companies debt they have bought but they are really difficult. Sending texts saying I've broken the agreement when I hve a standing order set up for 1st of the month and they are chasing on the 27th. No issues with any of the others so far. I'll do what you say Sourcrates and email them to say I'll make the payments as normal and they can like it or lump it!

You should make yourself aware of the civil procedure rules, specifically the need for a "letter before action" a document sent to avoid legal action by coming to an arrangement with your lender first, you are already in an arrangement, so are already complying, they have no recourse to legal action at this juncture.
