Re-Mortgage Dragging on Past Completion Date

Hi all, earlier in the year I started a re-mortgage process to move from my current provider to Santander. This has been facilitated through the Santander provided Enact conveyencer firm.

After filling in all the documentation, providing all relevant information, the completion date was set for early April. The completion date came and went, and I chased it with Enact. They said that Santander have requested further information from them, which they had provided and would be hearing soon.

This sort of back and forth has been going on almost an entire month now, in which time I've paid my current provider another mortgage payment (which was much higher as I have now dropped on to their tracker rate).

For the last 2 weeks, I've also received emails direct from Santander saying my new mortgage application has been approved, and they are waiting on reviewing the valuation report?!

This all seems very unusual to me, when everything had been set and should have been ready to go at the start of the month!

Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Have you called Santander and spoken to anyone?

I am not the biggest fan of enact, but if there is a problem with Santander, then you need to get that resolved.

Difficult to offer any meaningful help as the it seems like it is Santander holding it up.
