The cuckoo and swallow had me at the bedroom window for too long this morning.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. A beautiful start here with what's left of an early frost quickly disappearing in the sunshine.
My last full day here as I am homeward bound tomorrow morning. In this lovely weather I could happily stay longer but I have a dental check up on Monday, Covid booster on Thursday with bus trip day inbetween. I shall be back soon!
Merlin is picking up lots of birds I never see. They seem to keep themselves hidden in the trees whilst entertaining me with their songs. Unlike GERS still no cuckoo here.
Have a good day folks take care all and enjoy the sunshine! X

Good morning all and thanks for the start @Gers the birds are my morning entertainment too ❤️
I haven’t managed to post these last few days as BIL has been here and I’ve been out and about getting bits and bobs for the en suite. It’s coming on but the dust is unreal!
We are off to a localish bluebell wood today then it’s garden time. The rear garden needs mowing and I have a large (horrible) plant to remove. We will place a hydrangea in its place and have a tidy up.
Sounds like you’ve had a good break @TravellingAbuela safe journey home xHave a good day all

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, haven't seen or heard a cuckoo for a long, long time.
It's sunny again this morning, bedding is on the line, will re-make the bed in a minute. I've put the back door mat in the WM, it can drip dry outside.
Lovely and sunny yesterday, I sat out reading for a while when I got in from work for an hour or so. I did light the fire in the evening as the living room doesn't get any sun and it was quite chilly.
Glad you're enjoying your caravan stay TA.
I'm going to meet DS1 and family later in Stirling, they are going to visit the castle but I really don't want to go so a picnic before they go in will be good, haven't seen the older GC for ages.
Hope everyone is well and you have a good weekend. Take care. XX

Good morning
Usual (for now) sunny but chilly start. We didn't go to get the fence paint yesterday, we found out on fb that some of the roads were closed and the traffic was terrible. So just a quick trip to Ald* for a few essentials. Came back and had a long chat with Mrs ND, putting the world to rights.
No plans for today atm, due to this nice weather I'm thinking tonight will be a picky tea, there's ham, cheese and pork pie in the fridge, plus salad and coleslaw.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all
Looks to be a nice day here and the sun is due out later, I have one load on the line and another in the wm they should dry well today.
Yesterday I cleaned half of the conservatory it was grim 🤢 I tend to just dust and hoover / mop out there but I need to up my game a bit I think, I shall do the other half today. I also have some plants to put into pots so that will keep me busy.
Dinner tonight will be a bbq 😃 it seems to have been a long time coming this year but it’s just been too cold to sit out, we have some meats and I shall do some salads, last year I made a tomato salad with lemon juice and zest, olive oil, dill and salt and pepper, it was delicious so will do that for tonight and another green salad.
Dogs to be walked later and a bit of housework.
Camelot enjoy your time with your family xx
Have good days all and take care xx

morning everyone thanks for the start Gers . I’ve been and got some shopping I needed and I’ve had a bit of a dust and hoover I’m going to take the dog out soon for a little walk it’s supposed to be a nice day but it’s still chilly here and we have had a frost every morning. I can’t decide whether to wash the kitchen floor now or when I come back what an exciting life I lead . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all
Just back from taking little dog for a walk. He can't walk far as he's got a dodgy leg. DH taking big dog for a long walk so that'll keep him happy.
Sunny here.
Hope you all have a good day x

Morning everyone, thanks for today's start off @Gers. Lucky you having a cuckoo! My early morning serenade on these lighter days usually comes courtesy of little blue tits and sometimes blackbirds, both of which are lovely, followed by noisy magpies that are not so tuneful. 🤨
Another lovely calm weather day in store here, possibly reaching a high of 20 deg. I could get used to this.
I did manage to clean the outside of some of my windows yesterday and, if I get a wriggle on before the sun moves round, should be able to finish off the rest today. And that will be all I'm doing since I want to sit out in the sun while it's here. 😉 Easy tea of a h/m macaroni cheese from the freezer and salad. Maybe even a choc ice for afters.
@TA - Looks like you picked a good week for your mini break (unlike last year), safe journey home.
Have a good day all whatever you have planned, take care. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
@camelot1001 - I loved the kitchen and the gardens at Stirling Castle. They had a very nice gift shop also. Have been there three times.
