It's a glorious morning, still only 2° but a promise of 18° later. Here's hoping.
I'm off very shortly for my hair appointment, the drive down to it should be fabulous, it's such a joy after the bleakness of autumn and winter. My jacket may well be left at home. 😁
My thoughts are with our poorlies and the missing. Hugs to all.

Arrived at 6am at DS's as promised for them to go off on their trip. Really foggy this morning but clearing slowly. In bed now having a late breakfast and nosey on here. Animals fed and settled. Will make some hobnobs later to keep me amused.
Have a good day all x

It's sunny, the washing is on the line and it's Friday - can it get much better!
Busy day yesterday, car service, haircut and met a friend for a chinese meal, I slept well last night!
Thinking of those with woes or not feeling too good.
Take care. XX

Good morning all, thanks Gers - enjoy the drive. Similar to you was very nippy when I fed the birds but much warmer is forecast.
We had another lovely dogwalk yesterday, Wed. I went on the moors with DB1 and SiL, fantastic views -DH was doing car stuff then but yesterday we walked around a lodge quite nearby, lots of wildfowl and the swan was still on her nest.I had to call at the butchers as well because I forgot to pick up my order the previous day. Had a good chat with him about transport costs going up, fuel etc.
We had salt and pepper chicken sticks on flatbreads last night, with salad. I've got salmon out for later.
Hope you all enjoy your day.

Good morning
Much the same weather, sunny but chilly, but promises to warm up.
We didn't get to pick up the fence (face 😀) paint yesterday so that's probably on the cards today. Instead I gave the bathroom a deep clean, well, I had to do something.
Pork belly strips tonight, with roasted veg.
No other excitement planned, so I will wish everyone a good day whatever you're doing. Take care.

Morning everyone
We had mist off the sea when I was first up, it's clearing now and is forecast to be lovely this afternoon.
I'll go down to see mam and dad this morning, then get a taxi straight down to work, mams' had a few upsets this week, so hopefully she's ok this morning.
I've got little one for most of the weekend, we've tickets for the cinema tomorrow afternoon to see The Magic Faraway Tree, and will probably go to the library too. I've promised I'll try to get her bike sorted too, she got it out the shed a few weeks ago to find it had a flat tyre and the seat and handlebars need moved up.
So I'll wish you all a good day today and a good weekend x

Morning all
Lovely bright day here, I have a load in the wm which can be hung out later.
I went to get my petunias yesterday to find that they had sold out, on the way home through the village I saw a stall with plants on so I pulled in and found a new nursery had opened, a really nice young couple who moved there last October and have set up a little cottage nursery, it was beautiful and I bought several plants and I’m sure I will be back again.
Yesterday a sparrow got trapped in the conservatory and I spent a good hour trying to get it out, I ended up having to pull the dresser out to rescue it and the mess behind the dresser was appalling 🤢 so that’s this mornings job to get that sorted and cleaned and put everything back in place, the bird was fine once it had had a rest in the garden.
Dinner tonight will be a chicken and chorizo tray bake with new potatoes and peppers and mushrooms, I will get it ready this morning ready to pop in the oven later.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, thanks for the start @Gers.
Another bright, dry and sunny day in store and feeling much warmer, during the day at least. Mornings and evenings are still chilly but I can live with that! 😁
Yesterday was very similar but, as it started off cloudy, I was cleaning the downstairs outside windows early doors before the sun appeared - I hate streaky windows. Then I had a kitchen session and made a loaf of bread, four individual fruit & jelly pots and a dozen carrot & walnut muffins. I had a jug of h/m chicken stock and oddments of veg to use up, ideal for a risotto tea. The fridge is looking pretty bare now but there's plenty to go at in the freezer and cupboards, which is a good job as my purse is also bare for the rest of the month! 😅 Try as I might, I couldn't get the NHS login sorted out so have had to create a new account but, as I don't have a driving licence or passport for ID, need to get some details from the GP surgery first before I can use it. 😕
Usual Friday admin today and next week's meal plan to do - the freezer and stores will be earning their keep. I have my eye on the net curtains and will be giving them a wash - if I can clean the inside of the windows as well, that will be a bonus. Breaded fish with mushy peas for tea.
Nothing else of interest happening so I'll wish everyone a good end of week. Take care, especially those not feeling 100% for whatever reason. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.8
