Not really money saving but can someone suggest a good place to buy a teflon free saucepan?

Anything stainless steel will be your best bet.

Enamel would be even better, but they cost a lot more.

TK Maxx, if you have one near you, often have an eclectic range of cookware.

I do and until recently thought that they just sell clothes but they sell loads of things a great shop - the only problem is how can I be sure if things are teflon free?

Ikea 365+ range of stainless are good (we use some on our induction hob) at reasonable prices… IKEA 365+ Cookware - IKEA UK Their stainless roasting tins are good too.
No non-stick pans will be teflon (or equivalents stuff) free. Fry pans are a tad 'problematic' as a result, unless SS seasoned properly.

Thanks it's cheaper than argos

I'd second the ikea recommendation. I bought a set in a hurry for new induction hob and 18 months on they're doing fine.
Teflon or similar coating only applies to non stick so these plain stainless steel saucepans won't have it.

If it's any help, I use a seasoned cast iron frying pan and nothing sticks. Mine came from John Lewis, decades ago, and is very similar to this one.
You do need to season it before use. (Wipe the entire pan with oil and bake at 150C for an hour, then leave to cool overnight in the oven.) Also, never soak it and don't put it in the dishwasher - both will ruin the seasoning.

Stainless steel pans will be teflon-free. Look at IKEA, John Lewis, M&S, TK Maxx, Sainsbury's etc.

I dumped my nonstick frying pans for cast iron several years ago. Mine came pre seasoned but it’s easy enough to re-season them if needed. I’ve more recently ditched my nonstick saucepans for good quality stainless steel. Can’t imagine why I didn’t do this decades ago.
