This is the first of 6 to default which has taken around 6 months. Hopefully the others follow soon as I’m losing track with all the letters I keep getting 😂

Also can I ask. Is this normal procedure when my account goes into default that I’ll receive a letter from the company that has taken over the debt ?

Yes, at some point you'll get a letter from a company that is chasing the debt. That might be a company that has bought it, or one that is chasing it on behalf of the original creditor or on behalf of another company that has bought it. That can take a while to happen. As long as you are sure it has defaulted then you can engage and start paying.

At some point it would be a good idea to ask for the CCA, if that can't be produced then the debt can't be enforced and you can simply ignore it. Usually it would be best to wait until a while after the debt had been sold, but the government is planning to remove or reduce consumer protection in that area next year so you don't want to leave it too long either.
