Leader has 507 points. I've no idea how to get half of that!

Guessing there are random times when it allows you to score more points. Maximum I got was 290 collecting all the tools that appeared in the allocated time.

You can play as many times as you want. If you're on a laptop I found it easier to use my mouse to move rather tan the arrow keys.
Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time2 -
Just tried and there were only 6 items to gain points, but loads of items for the minus points
Thanks to all those that post.2 -
It must vary game by game as I just tried and counted 16 items to gain points, I scored 250

The highest score's now into the low sIx hundreds, but the highest I've managed is 283.

As the game speeds up if you collect the wrong items, I wonder if you are actually be able to increase your overall score by collecting some of those and and thus cause more items to fall, including more good ones. I haen't been able to get a definitive answer myself.

The following suggest not:
'Every correct item gets you points. Every mistake slows you down. The three players with the most points will win one of the three tools.'

I think they may have bodged it. That makes sense, but when you play it, it's actually the other way around and wrong items speed things up in my experience.

The highest this week is in the 700s. It's been suggested on Facebook that the speed the game runs at is dictated by your internet connection.
EDIT: After umpteen goes the highest I've ever managed is 319, which is 400 behind the current third highest score!
