Work completed as a cleaner unpaid

I was never told of any specific times for the cleaning to be carried out. Somestimes I would go as late as 9-9.30. I did not even clean on Fridays, I did on Sunday afternoon, still I'df put in there Friday 5-7 because there was no point in explaining the cleaning had been done on sunday, as it did not affect the result. I had been cleaning while people were there and sometimes even interviews were taking place and I'd have to either wait or awkwardly go around to try not to disturb things. I'd try to go in and do my work undisrupted and ger out… simple. Yes it was probably very unwise to not attend the meeting and I did let my emotiions cloud my judegement, but I find it very odd that I am being called for a meeting a week after i have requested my pay and then allegations are made that I missed days and so on…

I went to a small claims Court as oppossed to a work tribunal because I did not know I could go to a work tribunal and I am self-employed… so quite unsure about the rules… :-(

If you claimed you worked Friday 5.00 PM to 7.00 PM, but did not in fact work at those times, then your managers would have good reason for not paying you for that time. If you actually worked Sunday then you should have stated this. At court, you would lose any claim you make for unpaid invoices if you did not work the times shown on those invoices
If your managers were not satisfied with your standard of cleaning, there be good reason why they informed you at the end of the month rather than immediately
As you are self employed then for obvious reasons you cannot go to an Employment Tribunal.
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales1
