Skipton Mortgage a little advice needed

Hello Everyone,

I'd much appreciate for an advise here. I'm selling property and buying another. Current mortgage is with Skipton and new house we are buying is £350k. Since our affordability would not be enough therefore we are doing JBSB with my sister on the mortgage. Lender is Skipton too.

The current timeline is as below.

Just wondering how long can Skipton take to issue offer. The last document they asked was employment reference for my wife as the initial reference sent from the employer was in incorrect format.

Income source as below:

Myself: PAYE

Wife: PAYE + Self Employed

Sister as JB: PAYE

It has been more than 5 weeks and this wait is killing me. My buyers want to complete end of April. And I have no where to live 😂.

Have you chased them? It should not take 5 weeks.

Where is the legal work up to? If it has not yet started then you have no chance of completing by the end of April. If it is complete, then it should be possible, once Skipton have issued the offer.

You need to check in with them though really. They are generally quite good and easy to deal with.
