New Build Homeowners - Refund - Is this real?

Hi all, newbie here so let me know of this is the wrong place.

I've seen a couple of ads on Facebook suggesting that owners of new build properties purchased between 2022 and 2024 may be due a refund (see attached screenshot).

Has anyone else seen this? Is it legit? I had a brief look on some of the info and there does seem to be a court case that some developers have been fined, just not sure about whether purchasers would be due a refund.

Any views or thoughts would be welcome!

It's on Facebook, makes it about 0% reliable in my estimation.

Looks like the ambulance chasers have come up with another get rich quick scheme.

First rule of thumb, when the conversation starts with "I saw an ad on Facebook……." more often than not it's a scam.

Given that, from what I understand these ambulance chasers claims management company are suggesting people are due compensation for anti competitive practices by housebuilders which were investigated by the CMA.

Quite how this would equate to compensation for house purchasers I have no idea.

I'd assume that they would be arguing that the prices paid were higher than they should have been but no view on the chances of success.

Thanks all. Yeah, was a little "if it's on Facebook it probably ain't true", but thought I'd ask.

Will watch over but not put my details forward!
