I imagine that was from an acetone free polish? I find that is "greasy" in a way that acetone based polishes aren't. I personally find acetone based polish remover more effective...

Annoying about the jeans, its like having a label sticking in the back of your neck - I've unpicked many an annoying label. Maybe a pair of chub rub shorts or similar (boxers) to solve the jeans problem. Or if you have any iron on webbing tape you could iron a soft patch of something over (as others have suggested).

I also saw sleeve garters for keeping your sleeves up. Lots of people use them for over sized jackets and shirts, but there are a few videos for jumpers too.

Re the jeans - I would try the hot iron first, then acetone nail varnish remover. If they don't work, stitch a patch over the offending part.

Re the sweater sleeves - several rows of shirring elastic threaded through the rib of each cuff should help.

I don't think this would be an issue as the printing is actually on the pocket lining bit inside the jeans, not on the outside that anyone would see. But I would proceed with caution in any case.

I keep a roll of wide medical micropore tape in my bedroom to deal with all those itchy labels, seams and plastic stitches that otherwise irritate me. Sometimes it stays where I stick it forever and other times it comes off in the first wash and needs replacing - depends on the fabric types and the stresses that particular area experiences.
