Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
It's been raining overnight and is still showery this morning, at least I got washing nearly dry yesterday before the rain arrived.
Planted out onions at the allotment and was given some very healthy beetroot seedlings that I've brought home and put in the greenhouse, hoping to sow some more seeds today.
I'm picking up the little one this morning, she'll go home later and come back tomorrow for a couple of days - she loves a sleepover! We have tickets for the circus tomorrow (no animals) which should be fun.
Hope everyone is well, take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A dreary start here although the overnight rain has now departed for pastures new. Sadly it's due back lunchtime.
DF made it for lunch yesterday so we had a good old catch up. I ordered a halloumi salad wrap and fries which was lovely but absolutely enormous. So big I only managed half of it and rather than it going in the bin I wrapped the second half up and brought it home. That fed me nicely when I started to feel peckish in the early evening! Waste not want not.
Today bus rides are back on the agenda after my bus buddy was given the all clear on Monday, with her leg healing nicely. We have both missed our little trips out. There will be much catching up to do with our after lunch bottle. Then tottering back for the bus in the rain if the forecast is right. Grr.
Have a good day folks with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Good morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
We took down a false wall, took off a radiator and removed some large shelves plus tiles yesterday. All sanitary fittings are still in situ. Also did a tip run with the spoils. Felt very satisfying if dusty! More tomorrow when we’re both at home. I also potted on some Cosmos. The other seedlings are still very small so will be a couple of weeks yet I expect.
I’m WFH today - will pop to the town for my supplements depending on what time I finish. Dinner is chicken and mushroom tagliatelle.Hope the biopsy went okay @Suffolksue x
Glad you’ve booked a got out and about yesterday @TravellingAbuela x
Have a good day everyone

Morning again,it was raining earlier but seems to have brightened up, but I think it's forecasted to rain later.
Yesterday was ok, hospital appt went all right, I just have to sit for half an hour while the drug infusion drips through into a vein. I nearly fell asleep, I was yawning my head off - I was in a comfortable chair and it was warm. Fortunately managed to stay awake though.
Coxy, you were asking about how how books are chosen - sometimes we can pick from a list of new books that the library are ordering, sometimes the library assistant who deals with our group chooses what she thinks we might like. Well, we didn't like this one. Some members feel that if they start a book they must finish it, but I see it as as waste of time.As someone else said, you can tell quickly if you're going to enjoy the book.
I was going to ask someone something but can't remember who or what.(I sound unhinged) If I remember I'll come back
Hope your biopsy was ok Sue.
Glad you enjoyed your lunch out TA, sounds nice.
Hope everyone is all right, take care folks

Morning all
It’s a bit dull and dreary here with more rain due later, I am off to see Matt for the day which involves a lot of walking so will take my rain coat, he wants to go for fish and chips which will be nice.
I think I will probably be too full for dinner tonight so will do the others something quick like egg and chips as I think I will be in later than usual.
My DD had an offer accepted on a house yesterday 😃 it’s a really lovely house in the next village and right next door to my nail lady, I am very proud of her as she is buying it alone, it needs some work doing but it’s liveable for now, it will be strange without her and big dog here so much but it will be good for her.
I need to start a shopping list later, things are a bit tight here as I haven’t been paid 🙄 so we will have to do a cheap week’s shopping but we will manage.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all - it's very murky here, not boding well.
My cleaner is coming this morning so I've been gathering the recycling, soft plastics and rubbish bags, tidying the coffee table and generally faffing around. When he's here I'm heading up to the big town, there's a return for Marks, shopping and the dump run to do.
Lawrence and family are in the air from Dubai. Their turnaround there was only just over an hour so I'm glad that they made it. I'll be glad to have them back in the UK.
Have good days. Hugs to all.

Morning all
Just checked the weather forecast again to see when the rain was expected as I've a wash out on the whirlygig. No rain forecast now so that's a bonus!
Just done some housework upstairs and then had a delivery of new housephones. We've had ours for 20 years or more and one of them is playing up. They still make exactly the same ones that we've already got so that was a surprise
Might go out in the garden later and see what else might have popped up. We moved a rose bush and it's not doing very well so I'll put some coffee grounds into the earth around it as it's supposed to be good for them apparently!
Have a good day all x

Morning all, thanks @Scarlet for today's thread start.
The weather here seems to be settling in to a familiar pattern - a cloudy start to the day turning into sunny intervals, then rain in the afternoon/evening. At last the pesky wind has died down to a gentle breeze and it's slowly becoming a tad warmer during the day with the added bonus of curtains staying open until just after 8 pm.
Small top up shop done yesterday and finished books returned but I didn't get around to making any scones. Instead I re-organised my shoe rack so now boots and winter shoes are on the bottom shelf, sandals (not needed just yet) in the middle and lighter weight shoes on the top. It's ridiculous how happy that made me! 😁 I've also sourced a free knitting pattern for a hood with an attached scarf - who knew, apparently it's called a Scood. There's no rush to have it finished and the plan is to use yarn from my stash, donate whatever might be left and then not buy any more since dodgy fingers are making knitting less pleasurable.
Today's main job is to deal with the bathroom hand basin that's draining very slowly. Depending on how long that takes, 'extra' jobs are to tidy the freezer contents (again 🙄) and vac out the empty blanket box so the sorted bedding can go back in. Tea tonight is salmon in a sweet chilli marinade, baby potatoes, peas & sweetcorn.
Have a good day all, take care. X

Thanks everyone
All went well yesterday and he is sure there is nothing to worry about ( or sinister as he put it ! )
Trouble with being old ,nearly 77 is that everything seems to trigger the 2 week pathway ,but better to be safe than sorry and I realise how lucky I am in living in this area
Just wish the hip surgery pathway was as fast !
A day at home today , lots to do so must stir myself now
Stay safe all
