Lions Prizes e-mail
Hi,
I received an email from Lions Prizes advising I’d won a prize and to give their winners phone line a call to claim my prize. The only competition that I have entered through them was this one that doesn’t close until 31st July:
https://lionsprizes.com/campaign/win-a-mercedes-c63-lions
I’ve got a feeling it’s a marketing ploy as I’ve never had to call a number to claim a prize and don’t want to call just in case I get stung with premium charges. I was just wondering if anyone had received something similar from this company and called the number to see what you might have won? Thanks

Hi all
Received this email today and only just seen...anyone else won with them before and does the email seem legit? Doesn't say what the prize is and when I log into my account there's nothing there to say I have won anything?
Congratulations! You’ve won with Lions Prizes!
Please give our winners line a call to find out what you have won.
Our winners line is 0204 600 9026 and is open:
Monday to Thursday: 9am - 5:30pm and Friday 9am - 5pm (except Bank Holidays).
We look forward to speaking with you!
Kind regards,
Sarah
Thanks
Rachel

Hi I've had this exact email too and am wondering the same!

I had the same too, it is similar to Good Life Plus from what I can see. They would send out emails like this too and when you called them they would say you've won a free ticket into one of their competitions, but to claim you have to sign up to a "free trial" (which I'd imagine is difficult to cancel after signing up). I would definitely avoid it as you have to pay a subscription fee to enter their comps.

Good spotting, thank you! I will pass the info on to the MSE staff and see if maybe the competition can be removed from MSE ☺️

Hi all,
The team have looked into the matter, and will now be asking that users avoid posting comps organised by these companies as it falls under our stance on competitions that require payment for entry and we don't want Forumites to be charged for a trial they might have forgotten to cancel.
We've put up a banner message up on the Standard Online Competitions board that links to a sticky on this board.
If you spot any comps from these companies please do let us know.
