Can't get creditor to answer my letters
Hi all,
Slightly different scenario here ( I think…).
I have a DMP with StepChange. One of my creditors is Santander for a FlexiLoan.
SC wrote to me last September to say that the payment they made to Santander had been rejected as Santander's receiving account details had changed and I needed to contact them (Santander) to get new details.
I've written to Santander at least three times, at various addresses, since then (all letters tracked and traced) requesting new account details but never had a reply.
SC have stopped making payments to Santander which I thought might trigger some correspondence to me, but nothing.
Ironically, Santander still send me account statements for the FlexiLoan every six months or so, so they know where I live (and I'm ok with that!) - but of course the statements show no payments made since last year. Which they obviously don't seem too concerend about…
Any thoughts about this, suggestions?
Many thanks
Paul

If they're not asking for money I'd assume they don't want any

If they haven't defaulted the account, can you send them a message in the app?

Sooner or later you will likely find the debt sold to a 3rd party or assigned to a collector.
Or they may just forget about you, stranger things have happened.
