It's fine here, and doesn't seem as cold as yesterday, it was blooming freezing with a strong wind.

I've just about finished sorting my card making things, now it's all nice and tidy I just have to keep it that way. I'll re label boxes, that will stop me rooting about in boxes, that's what caused the mess in the first place. I discovered some things I'd forgotten I had, so that was nice.

So O's mum has seen off another carer Ruby! Surely something has to be done soon to help that poor man.

Hope you feel better today Coxy, the wellness session sounds good.

The wind and rain have battered the house all night and looks set to continue. The photographs coming through from Oz just emphasis how awful it is here, the weather there is so glorious even though it's autumn. Family leave there tomorrow after their two weeks with siblings and cousins.

Biting wind kept me at home yesterday, no walk or anything. Not even a garden amble, at one point the sharp rain was coming from the east in horizontal bands. Today will be more of the same apart from a quick trip into the village to collect a med from the vending machine which wasn't ready and to get a fresh buttery again.

Well done on sorting your card making supplies @ScarletRibbons, I had a vision of Dilly and her label machine. Wellness sessions sound great too @Coxy11. The pharmacist told me about the infra-red sauna she goes to which make her feel good, intriguing.

Sun has just come out here at dog sitting land. Will get up in a mo and feed them all. Will leave around 11am when the night outers get home.

Sorry I’ve been absent a few days - a lot going on that has been playing on my mind and I couldn’t think of anything to say!

Anyway I had a wonderful few hours yesterday doing some pottery with a friend - lots of fun. We’ll go back for part 2 in a few weeks to glaze the things we made.
We had strong winds and lots of hail yesterday which wasn’t at all forecast. Seems calmer today but the forecast says not 🙄

I’ll try and loose myself in some chores and craft work today.

morning everyone is a dull chilly day the weather seems to have gone downhill since we had those couple of nice days . Not a lot happening here I’ve got a small pork joint in the oven I will do veg and Yorkshire pudding later I will leave the washing until tomorrow it’s supposed to be a better day there’s nothing urgent. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning folks and thanks GERS. That pesky wind came back here yesterday and, looking at the trees, it looks to be still with us. Yesterday we ended up with intermittent blue sky but it still felt blooming cold. Today promises to be the same.

I'm just awaiting the arrival of DS for our Sainsbobs shop. He said he'd come early for a natter first and then we will get down in browsing time and may be finished by the time the tills open. Well he might be but I'll be bringing up the rear as usual!

Not a lot achieved yesterday but I did manage to make a big pan full of swede and carrot mash for the freezer. Courtesy of the pre Easter veg offer which seemed a good idea at the time. Not so after endlessly peeling and chopping all the swede! My arm exercise for the day! Other than that I spent a lazy hour choosing and ordering birthday cards as there was an offer on and my stocks are running low.

Mini shepherd's pie for lunch using a base from my freezer stocks and some Idahoan mash to top it. Veg still to prep. Probably carrot, peas and the bit of swede and carrot mash which I left in the fridge.

Morning all

Bright and sunny here but still cold, I went in the garden yesterday after posting to find that the wind had blown the table parasol over and shattered the glass on the table 🙄 there was glass everywhere, dd and I swept it all up and it filled a large bucket, we will have to get that and the table stand to the tip today.

Yes O’s mum is a real piece of work, that’s four carers in a month she has been abusive to, nasty woman and I dread to think what O is going through😩

I have some chicken thighs out of the freezer, we were going to bbq but it might be too cold so I think I will just cook indoors, I can do some potatoes and salad with them.

I have a towel load in the wm and another to go in after they should dry well today.

Morning all, thanks @Gers.

Today's forecast says it will be cloudy with sunshine and blustery showers. The sun is winning at the moment but the wind is making it feel quite chilly so I won't be venturing out anywhere. When I went out to the bins yesterday there were even some random snowflakes chucked into the mix!

Not a lot happening today, just the usual Sunday sloth. 😁 I'll most likely finish reading my latest book, do some (preferably all) the outlining stitching on the cross stitch piece and watch another episode of the drama The Vanishings. Dinner will be pork steaks in BBQ sauce with baby potatoes, carrots and peas and I'll be making up a batch of bolognaise sauce for later in the week. Unless anything unexpected comes up, that's about my day!

I went out in bright sunshine which almost immediately turned to bright sunshine with heavy rain! Picked up my meds and buttery and was home in short time, the weather really can't make up its mind.

The DW had finished by the time I arrived home so I've emptied it, now I will catch up on a couple of films and get them off the box. I've downloaded some photos from the shared folder on my iPhone, the family have been uploading lots each day so there's a great selection to chose from. My plan is to have some large prints made to post out.
