CCJ bankruptcy

Hello,

MMy bankruptcy order was granted back in 2024.

I'm just attempting to clear up my file where I can to the debts which still show in default.

Firstly has anyone had any dealings with PayPal? No idea who or how to contact however this debt will fall off in 2027 so may just leave if.

My main question is with ccjs. I have 4 on my file, all showing as active. I know these will remain but should they show as satisfied and if so who do I contact? will it be the court or the debtor direct?

Thank you

The email address for complaints on the FCA register is headofcomplaints@paypal.com. You should alwasy do this in writing, trying to sort out credit record problmes on the phone rarely goes well. But if this debt defaulted in 2021 so disappears next year, then ignoring it is the easy way forward.

There is no way to mark a CCJ as partially satisfied, so CCJs will remain showing as owing after discharge from bankruptcy and there is nothing you can do about them. (I am assuming the CCJ date was before the date of your bankruptcy.)

As long as the judgements pre-date your bankruptcy, it renders them null and void, so they cannot be enforced.

They will still drop off your file on the 6th anniversary of them being recorded, so its just a question of time really.
