Terms & Conditions

The following information and terms and conditions relate to the Visit Dorset and Discover Dorchester prize draw to “Win a Dog-Friendly Break in Dorchester”.  By entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. ‘The Promoter’ of this action is Visit Dorset whose registered office is at Visit Dorset Tourism Team, County Hall (N4W), Colliton Park, Dorchester, Dorset DT1 1XJ.

1. In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to the Promotion, the decision of the Promoter shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

2. This Promotion is open to United Kingdom residents over the age of 18.

3. Employees of Visit Dorset, Dorchester Town Council or competition prize suppliers are not eligible to enter.

4. The Promotion opens 25 March 2026 – 10 April 2026 (the ‘Promotion Period’). No entries submitted before or after the Promotion Period will be valid. The promoter has the authority to amend, extend or withdraw this without prior notice at any time during this period.

5. The Promotion is free to enter - no purchase is necessary.

6. All valid and successful entries made during the Promotion Period will be eligible to win the prize offer consisting of:

• Two-night stay at Greenwood Grange in their Sandbourne Cottage. This is a dog-friendly cottages that sleeps 4 with an enclosed garden and access to hot tubs on the lawn.  https://www.greenwoodgrange.co.uk/properties/sandbourne/  . The value of this prize element is £560. 
• One 30-minute private hire soft play session for your dog at MUTT Everything Dog
• A Polygon Pets Loyalty Gift Card to the value of £20. This can be used at any of their Self-Service Dog Washes or Dog Adventure Park. There is one located within walking distance of the prize accommodation at Hardy’s Birthplace and Visitors Centre. Please see website for locations - https://www.polygonpets.com
• A Sunday lunch for up to four people at The Sun Inn, Lower Burton, Dorchester on Sunday 10th May 2026. The Sun Inn is dog friendly. The prize includes up to four carvery meals and one drink for each person.

7. The prize does not include transport of any kind. Only the activities and meals identified in the prize description are included. Any other meals and travel needed will have to be arranged and paid for by the prize winner.

8. The prize must be used on the weekend of Friday 8th May to Sunday 10th May 2026 following the prize itinerary provided. If, due to circumstances beyond their control, the competition prize suppliers are unable to provide the stated prize, Dorchester Town Council reserve the right to award a substitute prize of equal value.

9. When entering the competition, you can opt into being added to the mailing list for Discover Dorchester (Dorchester Town Council), Greenwood Grange, Mutt, Polygon Pets as well as Visit Dorset. The privacy policies for each of these organisations can be viewed on their websites.

10.The prize is non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives.

11. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to the Promotion.

12. The Promoter reserves the right, at its discretion, to disqualify any entrant and withhold prizes if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of these rules or if they do not comply with any of these terms and conditions.

13. The Promoter also reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions

14. Promotion winners will be chosen at random by the Promoter, unless specified otherwise, from all qualifying entries on the date that the competition closes.

15. Promotion winners will be contacted by the Promoter within 7 working days of random draw taking place

16. The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to contact the winners using the contact details supplied upon entry to the Promotion. If a winner does not respond within 3 days of the first notification, then the winner forfeits the right to claim the Prize. The Promoter shall not be responsible should the winner provide incorrect contact or delivery details or if the email is delivered to spam or junk.

17. Promotion winner agrees to the use of their name for publicity purposes.  The winner's names may be published on the Visit Dorset and prize partners websites, social media accounts and in marketing emails.

18. Any personal data relating to entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation, and will not be disclosed to a third party without the individual's prior consent. The information you provide will only be used in the administration of the competition and for email marketing purposes. 19. The Promoter’s decision is final.

20. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Disputes arising in connection with these terms and conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
