Transfer from HL to II

These super-clean classes are not just a ploy to entice customers and make them feel they are getting back some of their premium platform fee. They also serve as a pair of golden handcuffs.

Wish mine was that quick - 5 weeks and counting
It really does seem to be luck of the draw with these things….

I too am transferring to ii and I am surprised you didn't get the option to transfer the share class. In my communication, they gave me 3 options:
In order to proceed please choose from the following options for each asset above:
- Convert unsupported asset to the proposed share class.
- Sell unsupported asset and transfer resulting cash balance.
- Exclude unsupported asset from the transfer and keep them with your current provider.

I did get offered the 3rd option once I queried it. Anyway done the partial transfer now. Nearly all completed just the cash left to go
I will move the rest once I have moved them into an asset class that is supported by ii.
It's just my opinion and not advice.1 -
As Masonic said, if you had gone for the conversion there would have been no trading costs and you wouldn't have been out of the market between a sell and a buy. Have you checked that your current provider offers the share class that is supported by ii?

Yes I'm aware of that now. Useful to know for my main transfer from wtw. Its fine tbh trading costs are insignificant I will move it to a stmm, and the funds I have in stmm with ii will be moved into a similar fund I currently hold at h&l then I will transfer the stmm. No immediate rush though. Hopefully I should get some cash for the ii transfer.
