Easter meat joint offers?

Looking for good quality meat joint offers for Easter in the MK area.

Usually you find supermarkets offering half price deals on beef & lamb joints. When it comes to beef I usually look for Topside. Last year I found Aberdeen Angus Topside half price in Waitrose MK. It was the best I have ever tasted.

I have just visited Tesco and Aldi and found nothing.

Waitrose has the Aberdeen Angus Topside on offer again this year, although it's only 1/3 off this time (joys of inflation…)

When I looked at Waitrose online, there was no mention of Aberdeen Angus.

It just says "From British breeds chosen for flavour and tenderness".

My local Sainsburys currently has whole legs of British or New Zealand lamb on offer at £15.70/kg (half price apparently) if you have a Nectar card. They had plenty in stock, but all were at the larger end of the size included in the offer, which is 1.2 to 2kg.

Aberdeen Angus is only sold on the meat counters in-store, so won't appear on the website.

Aldi have Aberdeen Angus £8.49/kg from Monday according to the leaflet.

You have to be careful. Tesco 'Britsh Beef Medium Roasting Joint' is currently advertised as half price online but it only gets a poor rating of 2.1 stars out of 5.

I have bought this in the past and been disappointed. The cut is not mentioned online so you cannot choose Topside unless you visit the store and hunt through the shelf.

Lidl are advertising 'Deluxe Aberdeen Angus Roating Joint' for £9.99/kg. The website indicates it's only available in store from 30th March. Again the actual meat cut is not given.

Yes, always check instore and choose from the available cuts… I got a lovely piece of sirloin in the half price offer at Christmas
