Good Morning
I have been happily entering this crossword competition for several weeks.
About three weeks ago when I click on the link I am being blocked from entering. It states I have to "Unlock The OBSERVER Est. 1791 Start your £1 Trial"
When I click on the link it takes me to a subscribe page for Monthly and Annual subscriptions.
The link above is for this weeks crossword 4143 ending today 21st March 2026.
Does this mean there is no longer an option to enter this for free?

I have just registered, used your above link and it takes me to the crossword with no requirement to subscribe. I have not completed it so I do not know if the subscribe requirement comes up at the submit, however. It may be that there is a limit of free entries, in which case you could try using another browser or clearing your browser's cache and see what happens then.

3 down is 'RICHEST'
I suspect you had a month's free trial subscription but now you'll need a paid-for to get access.

Hello @pate-ci0
This is what I get when I click on the link. The entry page is totally blocked out by this and there is no way to get past it as far as I can see.
I am using Windows Edge on a 3 month old Windows 11 computer which I am still getting used to using. I was able to enter on this new computer up until about 3 weeks ago.

I do use "ad blocker" normally but I have this switched off for this competition and that is making no difference.
I think I've resolved it. It is Microsoft Edge that is the issue. I have managed to log in (I was already registered) on Google Chrome and it looks like I will be able to enter on Chrome.

Sometimes sites leave a cookie on your device to track how often you access their site and over a certain limit you are then restricted in some way. Looks like that might be the case here, so after a while you will probably need to clear the browser cache to continue free access.
