Paypal
Trying to help a friend out who has nearly done 6 years post BR
Paypal is showing as closed on all credit reports with the correct satisfied date showing
However
Friend can still log into Paypal - it does say account is limited - but is unable to completely close the account
The reply from Paypal is - we acknowledge the debt was included in your BR but we do not close it internally and will remain open but never chased
Weird thing is - the account is pretty useless and cant be used but does have the current account in the wallet
Anyone had this or are Paypal wrong here ?

Does the account show a debt owing?
There is no reason why Paypal HAVE to close an account, but they have to write off the debt.0
