Yes they have her over a barrel in one sense as all she could do is resign without the money. Yes they could deny the offer. I hope they just want rid of her as much as she of them, so would not play tricks, but who knows?

She's easily met the 35 years full time contributions for a full state pension.
She needs to actually check. The 35 year assumption does not apply to most people of her age.

Thanks, but she has had a proper forecast from Gov.uk. If 50 years of full time work hadn't earned her a full state pension, I'd be left wondering what more she could have done to get it.
