Evri delivery services does not pay on time

Hello,

I lost my job and a friend in the gym told me about working as a delivery driver. As his company (a subsidiary of Amazon) pays weekly

So I searched and found a delivery company a subsidiary of EVRI called AH Logistics

I joined Feb 13th and was told. Payments are monthly on the 15th as a self employed driver. Using my own car and paying for my own fuel

To my shock horror. On the march 15th ( a Sunday, after working for a full month, buying my own fuel.. costing about £5 daily) I was paid £260 in total and was told I would be paid the balance in April 15th

This is very disappointing and I don't see this in my contract. And I have bills to pay (despite) working 5 days for the month and buying my own fuel

What can I do ?

Read your contract, there would normally be cut off dates specified. Sometimes it can be complex with different dates for different components, as an employee once I had a different cut of for contractual hours, overtime and commissions, made checking pay very difficult as some were fixed dates and others were "2nd Thursday of the month" type variable cut offs.

Ultimately you are self employed and therefore as a business you have credit risk and have to deal with bad paying clients.
