Gaps in National insurance contributions

Thanks all.
I haven’t lived abroad. I only have three qualifying years before 2016 (from when I was in education).
My forecast page doesn’t show any paragraph saying I could increase the amount by filling gaps, it just says £203.93 is the most I can get.
I’ll give the Future Pension Centre a call and see what they say.

Could only having three pre-2016 qualifying years be affecting the maximum shown?

No. Your forecast states you need 24 more years to reach £203.93. 24 years is worth £157.88. £203.93 - £157.88 = £46.05 / £6.58 = 7 so everything works out. The state pension is fairly straightforward maths. There is absolutely no reason why those 2 years should not add value.
