  • Hello,

I'm new to this forum, I've read the advice- sourcrates and others are amazing!

I'm just extremely anxious about receiving letters as my husband doesn't know the full extent of my debts and that I am now entering reduced payment plans with my creditors.

I know I should speak to him but he was absolutely furious when he found out that I was in debt and we almost broke up so I don't feel I can fully admit as he does not understand or sympathise at all (completely understandable and is his right).

I have requested that all correspondence comes via email not post, the creditors have agreed but informed me that some letters such as arrears notices will have to be sent via post as this is a legal requirement.

I am now in a constant state of fight or flight until I know the post has been delivered. My husband works from home and I am out at work every day so no way of intercepting. If it looks like a credit card or finance letter he will open it as he doesn't trust me following the debt admission and he will go ballistic when he sees arrears.

Is it practical to open a po box to divert correspondence? Will creditors send the letter to a po box rather than my home address? My main debts are with Monzo (who have been very supportive), updraft and capital one.

Are they allowed to send the legal letters to a po box or does it have to be my main address?

Also, how long until the arrears notices will start coming?

Updraft are already constant phoning and texting saying my account is in arrears due to their automatic systems, I've been reassured by actual people that I can just ignore these as the reduced repayment plan is in place.

Thanks in advance and sorry for the essay.
