Here I am ...

Hi everyone, back again to start keeping track. I started to do my SoA but got so overwhelmed that I haven't finished it off.

Husband has been made redundant so we need to really tighten our belts, and just as we started to do that our dog was very poorly. Luckily she's fine now, but even with insurance it's going to cost me around £1,500 which has been whacked on a new 0% credit card.

I have been using the Snoop app for tracking my spending, but I wonder if there's a better way. I guess I am just feeling overwhelmed and at least I am tracking it! I usually try to note all my spending in a book as well, which helps me see how much I am spending day to day.

I got a £450 pension refund from an NHS pension that I didn't realise I had to transfer out as I had < 2 years service, so that has paid off part of my Next bill and my John Lewis credit card.

Main thing we need to get a handle on is trips to Sainsburys/ Tesco's etc. I have started on Team RH to try and lose weight, so at least that stops the many Dairy Milk purchases to an extent.

Back after paying off DMP in 2014 - want to make sure debt doesn’t start creeping up again

Debt £4,888/ £5,530

Hiya, nice to meet you. Well done getting back here and tackling issues before they get too much. Maybe just do a rough SOA so you see what your categories of possible spends/debts are, then do the details when you've processed that so it's not so overwhelming? Knowledge is power after all 🥂 Glad your dog is okay
