Sigenergy battery + solar - charger too?
Hi
I'm just wondering if it's worth getting a Sigenergy AC charger, or if it's instead worth getting an Indra / Zappi charger?
I ask because Sigenergy aren't compatible with IOG despite apparently being in the pipeline. Given Givenergy still isn't approved, that doesn't give me hope
Now, my car itself is compatible but there's no guarantee I'll keep the car and given BMW decided to close their API access, that also may be removed even though my car is currently compatible
The advantage I see with the Sigenergy charger is that if you bundle the inverter with a gateway, it sees your AC charger and it has a single lane of glass. It's also tethered which is in a way, nicer but a maximum length of 5m instead of 10m which might be fine depending on where it's installed on my driveway
The advantage of others is that they are already compatible with eon next drive + Octopus IOG + Ovo
I'm not fussed about tethered vs untethered per se though.

Have you already purchase Sig kit? If so, did your installer not share that Sigenergy isn't compatible with IOG?

I have the Sigenergy kit but NOT the AC charger. I didn't ask for it at the time and I knew it wasn't compatible with IOG so didn't ask for it . Tbh I've been granny charging the BMW i3 given it's not like it's a beefy car and I can get away with granny charging
I figured "Hey when I've got a spare £1K I'll do it then as it's not necessary atm"
