I know you can get 2 duvets eg 4.5tog and 10.5tog that you join together to make a 15tog. They can be easier to wash but the 10.5 can still be a struggle.
Years ago I saw a website that sold quarter duvets. You pieced them together to make a whole. They were expensive and I couldn't afford them at the time but now I am looking for them and can't find them. The other good thing is that you can get different togs for each quarter. If you needed warmer feet then you got say a 15tog then say 4.5tog for the top. Your other half could then customise their side too. What appeals to me is that each quarter will easily fit in the washing machine so that's a winner. Has anyone seen anything along these lines for sale anywhere?

Were you aware of the price before having the items cleaned?
If you were, you weren't ripped off.
Why didn't you just go to Primark or B&M (other options available) and buy new?

I suppose if it is a case of wash it or replace it, it would be worth trying if it will wash in the bath, or in a plastic trug, in summer, when it will be hot enough to dry it thoroughly over several days. I have washed feather-stuffed cushions and pillows.

@bouicca21 If you really want to buy new pillows and you don't want to send your old ones to landfill. I used the contents of my old pillows to stuff the draught excluder I made out of a curtain remnants as the shop bought ones weren't wide enough for my door. It worked perfectly.

Just been ripped off
Did you see a rip off price and decline to use the service? If so you haven't (yet) been ripped off as you didn't pay it.
Or did you ask the price , get it done and now think its expensive? If so, you agreed so no rip off.
Or did they change the price after the fact? Then and only then, I agree.

Is that also known as a blanket?

No, its a duvet sewn into a cover. I was a bit cautious but we have a 10.5 tog and its great. Less bulky than a conventional duvet but very warm. Washes great and quick drying.
