Can car repossession be stopped

I’ve had a ca 18 months on a 5 year ho agreement. All was fine unfortunately then I got ill and missed 2 payments (the we’re aware of my illness) then through my stupidity I’ve missed a third (thought I had more money in the bank than I did) I have spoken to the company and they had said that the agreement is terminated and they will either repossess the car or I have to pay the agreement in full.

Is there a way to stop the repossession without paying back the full amount at once? I do have the funds to clear the missed payments and can afford the repayments going forward as I am now back in work. I don’t want to trash my credit anymore than it already is!
