I sold a property overseas this tax year, paid the local CGT, but am only being paid in installments over 15 years. For my Child Maintenance Service payments, will these pieces of the same of a second home (~£750pcm) be considered as 'unearned income' and so liable in future CMS calculations? Or as a capital payment not liable? I say second home, but I actually live in rented accommodation, so it was more an unrealised overseas development project (ie 'moneypit' that was sold.
