Meridian Peanut Butter 1Kg tub

Anyone know how on earth you get this open? I've bought it twice and both times when I've pulled the plastic tab, it's come off in my hand.

And I've spent about 20 minutes sawing the lid off with a sharp knife.

Anybody else had this battle or am I missing something?

We’ve bought a few and not had a problem. Break off the tab so it looks like in the picture. Lift up the thin lid that removing the tab exposes. The lid comes off quite easily.

I thought you had to pull the tab all the way round the lid. Do you not have to do that?

Well that's embarrassing. I just about did myself a mischief sawing that lid off!

They apparently don't add Moose oil to this so the traits of her Moose shouldn't effect the flavor or cost

I bought a big pack of peanuts in their shells meaning to make my own peanut butter. The trouble was by the time I got round to it they’d all been eaten. I couldn’t blame him indoors because he’s not that keen on peanuts. 😹
