Morning again, as far as I can tell it's not raining and doesn't seem really cold.
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes yesterday - as TA said there are quite a few of us with birthdays around February/March. Gers it's sad that you won't be getting a card from Lionel any more , but nice that you've still got the card from him for your 21st. I've still got a card for my 21st from Dh.
My Dh will be having a significant (milestone, as they say now) birthday this year like you TA.
Yesterday was an ok day, we went out for a meal in the early evening before going to the quiz.
This morning I'm meeting a friend at D*bbies for a natter, haven't seen her since just before Christmas. I read that they've just opened a food hall so we'll certainly wander round that.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.

Morning Scarlet and all to follow,
Scarlet I hope you had an enjoyable day yesterday xx
Feels cold here but not raining atm, it’s meant to be a sunny day again today, yesterday was beautiful it got up to 14 deg which made for a lovely walk and picnic in the sunshine.
I am off to see O today and I think we will try and go bowling which he is very much looking forward to, I just need to work out how it all works as I think he uses his eye gaze thing to help him, I am sure we can work it out between us, he may want lunch out too.
I have people coming today to quote for cutting the hedge back, dd is off so she said she will see the first one this morning and then I will be home this afternoon for the other ones, I hope it’s not too expensive.
Not sure about dinner tonight I will go and look in the freezer after this, I couldn’t get my shopping delivery till Thursday so someone will have to get milk today.
I bought some white crocus yesterday to mix in with the purple ones In the front garden, I will get some lilac ones too when I see some they give a lovely colourful display in early spring.
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all
Looks like it's going to be a nice sunny day today with a reasonable temperature so looks like Spring has sprung at last! It's been a looooong winter!
Some housework to do upstairs and will take the winter duvet off and replace it with the summer one and for the first time this year I'll hang the washing out in the garden.
Have a good day all x

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, glad you had a good day and enjoy your meet up later today.
It's much milder here but still drizzly, the wind picked up yesterday afternoon and by 6pm it was blowing a gale, shame it was dark as washing would have dried in no time!
Hope you have a good trip out with O today Ruby and the hedge trim isn't too expensive.
It made me sad about the card Gers, I feel the same now my Auntie isn't here.
Hope you got the garage doors sorted out Coxy.
Work has been quite slow so I've been doing some on-line training courses, some are interesting and relevant, others not so much but it's been good to learn.
The little one was accidentally kicked in the mouth by another swimmer yesterday which split her lip and moved one of her front teeth (thankfully still a baby tooth), DD managed to get her an appointment at the Dental Hospital in Glasgow at 8pm last night. All is well, they are leaving the tooth to come out on its own. She sounded such a poor wee soul on the phone. I think it was made worse with the water and blood making it look much worse. We'll see if she makes it into school today.
Hope everyone is enjoying the slightly milder weather and you are all well. Take care. XX

Morning all
Today might be the day I actually get something done in the garden, it’s misty at the moment but supposed to be some sunshine again. Yesterday was lovely.
Definitely lots of birthdays - DMs today and mine Friday 🙂 - hope everyone else enjoys theirs. DM has decided against coffee and cake out as they’ve been out so much recently - apparently you can have too much cake 😲!!, we’ll probably go Friday for mine. Lamb tagine has been requested and I hope I got lamb from the freezer as we had a bit of a labelling disaster!
Camelot - hope the little one is ok - sounds scary for her.
take care allAA

Morning - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons, it's good that you had a good day for your birthday. I hope that @AlwaysAllie's DM has a great one. Mine is tomorrow, huge thanks to @camelot1001 for the lovely card, it brought a smile to my face. xx What a shame for your little one
I cracked on with multiple little jobs yesterday. Brought in two big bags of logs and the changed the horrid round laces on my new shoes to flat ones which pleased me. Then I tackled knife sharpening which I've been putting off ages. In fact it was so easy with the kit I bought late last year. I had bought two new knives this year but missed using the old ones so set to. One of the knives is from my great-grandmother's time and is almost too thin to use now.
The weather today is miserable with not much promise of getting better. I've got a small washing load chugging away which'll have to go upstairs when done. There's more financial stuff to tweak, I'm gathering monies to bang into an ISA come the time, that'll keep some interest away from the tax office. Lunch will be the last of the chicken and tomato soup so it's time to make more.
Hugs to poorlies, Izzy's DS and all those who are having a tough time. I hope that you can sort out the bowling for O @RedRuby1231.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Enjoy your trip out. After a few bright and sunny days we are back to gloom today. It's not raining just cloud cover but the temps will remain around 13/14 deg.
Happy Birthday to your DM Allie. And you on Friday. SCARLET has your DH had the letter yet from DWP about the increased pension payment when you reach 80? I got my letter yesterday and I can't decide what I will spend the extra 25p a week on!!
It's lunch day with DF today (unless I hear to the contrary!) It will be nice to get out and have a good natter. Postponed from yesterday as doggie's re-arranged haircut took precedence.
The mucky door took some cleaning yesterday, the bird poo seemed to be glued on. The starlings are probably the culprits as they like sitting and squabbling on the roof overhang.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. CAMELOT that sounds like a nasty accident for little one. I hope it hasn't put her off going swimming. Take care all, be safe x

Morning all, thanks @Scarlet for today's start and a belated Happy Birthday - I hope you enjoyed your meal and the quiz. So many birthdays around at the moment and I'll say Happy Birthday in advance to @AA and @Gers for theirs in case I don't get on my laptop in time.
Weather not too bad at the moment and it's beginning to feel more spring-like with higher temperatures and brighter skies. Nothing special happening right now, just the usual day to day stuff. I had a grocery delivery yesterday and am now waiting for our recycling bin collection that could be either today or tomorrow; I've got an accumulation of stuff to go in but the bins are too full yet. I'm also compiling a list of things I need from the DIY store and will collect it on either Sunday or Monday. Tea tonight is a salad with scampi.
@TA - Even if you were to save that extra 25p a week for a month, there still wouldn't be much you could buy! DH and I often used to chuckle about that.
@camelot - Poor little one, I hope her mouth isn't too sore after her accident.
@Izzy - That was awful news for your sister; I hope she gets the support she will need and that the radiotherapy will be successful.
Right, I have to run as DS is needing the laptop so I'll wish everyone a pleasant day. Take care, hugs wherever needed. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Morning everyone
Cloudy here but meant to be 11 degrees later, I might have a potter in the garden later, it's a mess.
Camelot I hope little one is ok and it doesn't stop her wanting to go to the pool.
I need to go down to mam and dads this morning and then along to Lidl for some fruit, I have none left and like to take some with my packed lunch. Then I either have to pick little one up from school after she's had her lunch or I'll come home and do some jobs. She still can't go swimming until she finishes her antibiotics for her tubey hole, though it does seem to be a lot better now and DD may or may not have a meeting to do with fostering.
There's a grassy bank covered in snowdrops on my walk down to mam and dads, they look lovely.
Right best get moving, I hope you all have a good day x

morning everyone just got in from a cleaning job I seemed to have a night of weird dreams I’ve scaled walls had a fight and ran up a hill I was pleased to get up I’m worn out . Thanks for the good wishes for my DS she seems positive her next door neighbour is from Thailand not that has anything to do with anything but she said to my sister you have nothing to worry about I have taken all your worries and I am going to worry for you so you can get on and enjoy your life . It’s mild here but I think showers are forcast I have a blood test at the nurse later just for my thyroid they have started for some reason to alter my tablets the same ones I’ve been on for thirty plus years and never had any problems now I keep getting headaches.
