Morning all. I must be early this morning; not usually the second one to post!
Anyway, it looks like a dry day out; one load of washing is in the machine and I have a date with the ironing board. I might also try to make a cake later.
Had a lovely day out in London yesterday, visiting the London Transport Museum in Covent Garden and then a nice late lunch. Today DH has a dental appointment to decide the fate of his cracked tooth following a course of antibiotics. We are both hoping it doesn't have to be removed so fingers crossed.
Hope everyone else is doing ok. Look after yourselves.

Gosh, that wind is raging still. Rain hammered down all night too.
The bright sky and appearance of sun yesterday tempted me to go out. Hat, coat, shoes, gloves and out the door - the instant both my feet were outside the heavens opened and stayed that way for an hour. Instead of a walk I took away the domestic rubbish bag to the tip. Not the same experience.
I recorded the closing ceremony, the BAFTAs and Pottery Throw Down last night. Whizzed through Pottery and was astounded by the makes, truly moving. I'm going to miss the Winter Olympics now.
No real plans for today. I'm not going to the exercise class again, still too wabbit, but will do a bit of it here. Hugs to our poorlies and those who need one too.

Good morning
Another bright start to the day, I could get used to this. Yesterday was dry until early evening then we had a shower or two.
OH is off to Screwfix again today, he ordered the wrong part last week and needs to change it. I may go along, not sure yet. I've asked him to take my car and put fuel in as it will soon be running on fumes. I usually fill up at our nearest As*a, but haven't been able to get there due to flooded roads.
No idea what's for tea, but there's plenty in, this weather is making me fancy a salad, (as she says that the sun goes in and it clouds over).
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all
Dry here for now but more rain due later one of the roads out of the village is completely under water and the road surface is crumbling underneath there are so many potholes it’s getting quite dangerous.
Off to mums today to work I will cook her some dinners, do her a shop and carry on with the sewing room organisation.
Dinner tonight will be carbonara with a gammon joint that is currently in the sc, the rest will be for tomorrow with chips and eggs.
I have put another coat of oil on the worktop this morning, that’s three it’s had now so that will probably do it, we can get the TD back in place tomorrow once it’s dry.
Have good days all and take care xx

morning everyone I don’t know what it’s going to be like its rained all night but it’s nice and bright now I got a load of towels dry yesterday that was a bonus I haven’t been on here at the weekend as I’ve had family matters to deal with one of my sisters has just got the all clear from breast cancer and when she has gone for her final check up they have found out she has lung cancer it’s been a big blow to say the least but the good news is it’s just small and they are hopefully going to get rid of it with radiotherapy so of course we are keeping everything crossed I know it’s easy for me to say but I just don’t want her to be worried about it of course she is but she sounds positive and she’s as thin as a rake but she always has been . Now I have to fill my day in my friend who i usually meet is away for half term but I can find plenty to do I will read back on everyone’s properly to catch up thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning folks and thanks GERS. After a forecast of drizzle yesterday we didn't get it until evening and had a lovely Springlike day instead. I didn't go anywhere but it was lovely to see through the windows! This morning the cloud is back but there are snippets of blue sky, I wonder which will win?!
After months and months of waking at 3.15 with my inbuilt alarm going off, then a couple of hours of tossing and turning and feeling wide awake, I actually slept through until 7.05 this morning!! If I knew the secret I'd let fellow insomniacs know but sadly I don't and I don't expect it to happen again!
With no Olympics to distract me today I ought to making a start addressing the jobs that have been waiting for them to finish I suppose!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Morning everyone
I've missed a few days again, though I did read and catch up while I was eating my tea yesterday.
Little one and I had a lovely trip to Edinburgh, she was very excited to be staying in a hotel 'just us' . The Giant Lanterns were brilliant, I was so pleased I'd taken her to see them, she was mesmerised by them.
She stayed with me again on Friday night ( she was fast asleep before 6pm) and then DD dropped me into town to do my invigilating at the Lowry exhibition, which I really enjoyed. Yesterday I managed a lazy afternoon with my Sunday Times.
Today I'll take mam to her doctors appointment, which I'm not looking forward to as I think they'll say she has dementia. Then I'll go for her shopping and after that I've said I'll go over the road to my friends for a cuppa and cake. I haven't seen her, except in passing as she's had family staying.
It's actually sunny here this morning, though there's a cold wind, I've put washing out so I hope it stays dry.
Izzy - that's awful news about your sister x
Right I'd best move myself, I have some jobs to do before I go out - hope everyone has a good day x
