Morning folks and thanks GERS. Bah humbug another sleepless night. No surprises there, nor any surprises with the weather! Fine rain and a bit windy is the forecast for the day, though there appears to be a small window of sunshine mid-day if we are lucky.
Lunch time veg all ready prepped in readiness for a final day of Olympics. I shall miss them and won't know what to do with myself tomorrow! Well alright then, I will. I'll be catching up on the jobs that have been sidelined whilst I have been watching them!
Have a lovely day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all who want them or need them. Take care all, be safe x

Good morning, thanks Gers.
It's dry here (I'd better stop bragging or I'll cause the rain to start again). Not a bad morning, and without that icy chill in the air.
There's some half finished jobs round the house to complete today. I'm still trying to live out of the freezer and not doing too badly, it needs a tidy though. I'll attempt that today. Dh is champing at the bit to get outside and do a bit of power washing, but he tires easily still. We'll see how we go.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning again - the sky is bright and the sun is out, shame it's not a heating sun. I think it's been raining all night though dry now. Long may it last.
After my busy start to yesterday the remainder was peaceful. The washing load using the new eat dirt liquid came out lovely and clean, not sure it was any better or worse than the usual powder but I'm happy enough to use it. I phoned Marks to complain about the removal of the bras from the store in the big town, got an awful agent who really seemed as if she couldn't be bothered. Long silent gaps, having to repeat what I said more than once, lots of noise in the background and she didn't listen to my name despite me correcting her four times - at that her response was 'mmmm'. She then said that it was difficult because she was in South Africa! I almots phoned back to complain about the call but decided that was slide into Victor Meldrew territory so backed away.
Today is the final slob in front of the Winter Olympics, apart from the ice hockey. Lunch is a ready meal from Marks, a wee treat, and a pile of veggies.
I hope that everyone can keep dry, get in the garden, stay in the house or simply enjoy themselves. Hugs to all.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers. Hope it's not too windy where you are, it's blowing a gale here!
I had a good trip to the allotment yesterday, quite a few potatoes dug up and some more put in, although it may be a bit early. Dug over one of the beds that had become quite weedy and someone kindly topped them up with some lovely new home made compost. I was very cold, wet and muddy when I came in so had a lovely soak in the bath.
Had a nice phone chat with DS1, they are all full of the cold so I'll not visit today! I fell asleep after that for a couple of hours and still slept for 8 hours last night - must have needed it.
Yesterday's white wash has been by the fire all night but will need a little finish off in the TD and I'll put it away. Glad it's done as I've run out of the socks I like to wear!
I'll do a bit of shopping this morning and may get out in the garden this afternoon if the weather holds.
Hope you have your worktop in Ruby.
Your concerts sound wonderful Mehefin.
Have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX

Good morning
Dry, sunny and mild here, and set to stay for the day, fingers crossed. Yesterday was sunny until late afternoon and it was lovely to have the windows open with fresh air blowing in. Only trouble is it shows up the dust, so today I'd better get cleaning.
Roast pork dinner later, I may make a cherry crumble for pudding.
Nothing else to report, have a peaceful Sunday all.

Morning all from soggy Mehefinland.
Yesterday did not go well!! All my electrics went off at approx 11.30 - I heard the circuit breaker go . A quick check with the neighbours and it was definitely me only. So dragged out a chair to get to the box to try a reset -after several abortive attempts I narrowed it down to the circuit serving the sockets , but i can't find anything obviously wrong anywhere. So no boiler etc. Fortunately this bungalow has a few quirks from when the previous owners let out part as a self contained flat, and that part is on a different supply . Cue two extension leads - 1 for the fridge and freezer, and the other for the living room so that I had tv, phone and internet.
Thankfully that got me through the rest of the day and the woodburner came into its own. The oven and gas hob were unaffected strangely (I was quite surprised with the hob as I thought it was fed from the socket circuit). So today's fun and games when the rain stops is to investigate any of the outside electrics to see if they are shorting out the circuit. - it may be a long job as currently it is still raining - that fine stuff that soaks you- and I'm not going anywhere near until it stops. My friend has loaned me a cable tester which will make it easier, but there are a few outside lights/PIRs which may be the cause- i cannot see where they are fed from so it going to be a very cautious approach-after I've made sure all the power is off lol.
Battery about to die so hugs and spoons as always

Morning all, thanks @Gers for today's start. It's bright and breezy this morning, dry as well but of course the odd shower is always possible, especially this evening. Still, it seems to be moving in the right direction.
Just the usual Sunday here, aka doing not a lot, but there are a few pottering jobs I could do - if I feel the urge. 😁 I have a small shopping list prepared and will send off an order for delivery on maybe Tuesday. Dinner today is gammon, baby potatoes, cauliflower cheese and carrots. There will be plenty of gammon left for slicing and freezing for another day.
@Gers - Grr to the pointless phone call, it's no wonder we get grumpy. 😖
@camelot - DS has so many pairs of socks there's no danger of him running out of clean ones. Mind you, he needs them thanks to very smelly feet!
@remmie - Cherry crumble sounds exceedingly yummy. 😋
@mehefin - Good luck with locating the electrics problem; hopefully you'll have a better day today.
Nothing else of interest to say, so I'll wish everyone a peaceful Sunday. Hugs as always where/if needed. X

Morning all
Just had shopping delivery. Chatting to the chap and it turns out he lived in a block of flats next door to mine where I was born and brought up in London. It's a small world!
Pulled pork in a bun and chips for dinner. Chips on a Sunday!
Sporty afternoon as usual
Have a good day all x

Raining here again I just expect it to be raining now when I open the blinds, it’s a lovely treat to see the sun ☀️
Worktop is in 😃😃 it looks beautiful we gave it one coat of oil yesterday and I will do another one today then the TD can go back up, it’s a shame to put it up there really but there is nowhere else for it to go, OH fitted the new tap as well it’s one of those where you can pull the spray thing out which will be handy for washing muddy boots and dogs. The skirting is still to do and put the cupboard up, a few tiles to go on the wall and a cupboard front to go over the gap under the sink, we had a curtain there before but thought a door would look better, another day next weekend should see it done then I can get the painter in.
Dinner today is a bit of brisket which is in the sc, I will do roasties, yorkshires and veg including a cauli cheese to go with it, the dogs love a Sunday dinner so I will make extra for them.
WM is on but the washing will have to go on the airer.
Mehefin I hope you get your electrics sorted - be careful xx
Have good days all and take care xx11
