First Direct Remortgage - 1st payment date if I have picked the 15th?

If I complete on say 16/17th March, do I expect my first payment to be a large payment to include interest on the 15th May?

That would be normal, interest from the day your solicitor gets the funds from the lender up to 15th April + one normal mortgage payment.
No idea if First Direct do anything different…
