Porting Santander Fixed Rate Mortgage - any experences?
Evening,
We have a fixed rate Santander mortgage that has an early redemption fee and also an option to port the mortgage to another property.
The way things are looking we aim to sell our current house before we buy. Has anyone porting with Santander - esp. when there isn't a chain? In particular, has anyone seen any flexibility in the porting window (it's stated as three months between selling and buying for non-new builds, which seems a bit tight)?
We'll talk to Santander but it would be good to get anyone's experiences beforehand.
