Thanks for the new thread @JingsMyBucket
£300 please for March
However, I think it’s going to be tight.
I can already declare £415 bulk for my forthcoming meat. Half a pig, lamb and quarter of a cow.
With my last Ocado order as I started using the app they have given me a 10% off voucher so that had to be done.
Of course it’s coming just before my holiday so I have had to split the order and have frozen and non perishable’s coming at the very end of Feb and Fruit and vegetables on my return. Definitely my last Ocado shopping for now.
I did buy a tomato sauce from M and S in one of my orders and it is going much further than the usual Lidl one. A stronger consistency. So am pleased with that for £1Have a good month everyone

Allowing a bit more as Might be tricky as I want to be healthier, loos some weight and DD likely to be around more and possibly DS1 when out of hospital but I’m going to try and keep this going, it’s definitely making a big difference to how much I’m spending and I enjoy coming up with ideas too!

Unless there’s any cash leftover from February, in which case, it’ll be added to the above. This is for all supermarket spending for two adults, including toiletries and cleaning products. Our month will run from 1st to 31st March.

First shopping this budget round. I was considering a big monthly online shop, but decided against it in the end. Since the beginning of the year I'm budgeting with cash only for variable spending and I worry if I get groceries online and pay with card, I will break my own order. 😅 I'm also trying to watch every penny on my account this month, as this time next month I should be able to pay off one of my CC cards and get my debt down to circa £6k. Aiming for a bit of a "rice and veg" situation this month but it will be worth it. Cat still eats like a princess though so no change on that front! 😅

Thank you @JingsMyBucket.
Still here, though I don’t feel like going shopping, cooking, or eating, I have been making comforting soups. It is Lent, a good time for using what is in the store cupboard, especially last year’s dried pulses.
The March budget is still £5 a day for 2 pensioners, cooking from scratch, using weekly ration quantities, avoiding UPFs. We are down to the last tray of stored apples.
March Grocery Budget £155.
Fashion on the Ration 2026. Coupons used, 6 pairs of socks non-wool 6, 4 cotton vests 12, sleeveless wool cardigan 5, total 23.
Grocery Challenge 2025, £5 a day for 2 pensioners. Total £1,825.
January £128.45/£155, -£26.55. February £122.55/£140, -£17.45. March £154.50/£155, -50p.11
